Mackenzie Dern, who is signed up for the Long Beach Fall Open 2012, was promoted to black belt this Saturday, December 1. Her father, Gracie Humaita’s Wellington Megaton, is the one who fastened the new belt around her waist.

A world champion at every rank so far, Mackenzie is also set to compete at the January 13 Copa Podio event. She and her boyfriend, Augusto Tanquinho, will take on Marina Ribeiro and Davi Ramos, respectively, in the Couples Showdown.

Inscrita no Long Beach Fall Open 2012, Mackenzie Dern foi promovida nesse sábado, 1º de dezembro, para a graduação maior do Jiu-Jitsu. Quem amarrou a faixa-preta na cintura da atleta da Gracie Humaitá foi seu pai, Welington Megaton.

Campeã mundial em todas as graduações, Mackenzie também vai participar da Copa Pódio, dia 13 de janeiro. Ela e o namorado Augusto Tanquinho vão enfrentar Marina Ribeiro e Davi Ramos, respectivamente, no Duelo de Casais.
