Nos dias 20 e 21 de novembro será realizado o seminário dos faixas-pretas da CheckMat Chico Mendes e Leon Amâncio em Maresias, São Sebastião, no litoral paulista.

O evento vai ser realizado na academia Maresias MMA (Alameda

Representante da Atos, Bruno Frazatto andava meio sumido das competições e dos pódios. No último final de semana, no National Cup, o faixa-preta voltou a vencer. Com gás de sobra e vontade de ganhar tudo, agora Frazatto se prepara para o Honolulu Open, que acontece no dia 4 de setembro, no Havaí.   

“Fiquei meio ausente este ano, lutando no peso leve e cuidando da minha academia com o Paulo Nikolai aqui em Campinas , a Fighters Camp. Não estava conseguindo conciliar muito bem as aulas com os treinos. Agora a academia começou a andar bem, com muitos alunos, e consigo ir a Rio Claro para treinar com o pessoal todo da Atos. Estou de volta no meu peso, o pena, e acho que com tudo isso os resultados voltaram”, diz ao GRACIEMAG.com. 

No último evento, Frazatto venceu feras como Mário Reis e Leon Amâncio. 

“Finalizei a primeira luta rápido. Depois enfrentei o Mário Reis, foi a terceira vez que nos lutamos. Estava muito treinado e focado, mas não dá para dar mole com ele, um cara que sempre joga para frente. Sabia que não seria fácil, mas saí com a vitória. Depois fiz a final contra o Leon Amâncio, no domingo. Estava mais tranquilo, depois da luta com o Mário, e venci por 8 a 0. Estava confiante”, conta.

Embalado pelo título, Bruno está de malas prontas para o Havaí. A fera quer botar para quebrar. 

“Depois desse tempo afastado, agora quero lutar em todas as competições da IBJJF. Tive o convite de fazer uns seminários no Havaí, então não poderia ficar de fora do Honolulu Open. Já estou inscrito e tudo. Também quero lutar o Miami Open, Mundial Sem Kimono e o que mais vier. Estou treinando bem novamente, fazendo preparação com o Edson Ramalho e quero estar nas cabeças de novo. Estou com a cabeça ótima e ainda vou incomodar muito!”, encerra.

Atos representative Bruno Frazatto had sort of disappeared from the winners’ stand in competitions. Last weekend at the National Cup, though, the black belt returned to his winning ways. With gas to spare and a burning desire to win everything out there, now Frazatto gets ready for the Honolulu Open to take place this coming September 4 in Hawaii.

“I’d kind of dropped out this year, competing at lightweight and taking care of my academy with Paulo Nikolai here in Campinas, Fighters Camp. I was having trouble reconciling teaching class with training. Now that the academy is up and running with lots of students, I can get to Rio Claro to train with the folks at Atos. I’m back at my weight, featherweight, and I think that with all this I’ll get back to having good results,” he tells GRACIEMAG.com.

At the last event, Frazatto beat hard-nosed competitors like Mário Reis and Leon Amâncio.

“I got the tapout quickly in the first match. Then I faced Mário Reis; it was the third time we’ve faced each other. I was really well trained and focused, but you can’t slip up against him, he’s always on the attack. I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but I came up with the win. After that I was in the final against Leon Amâncio, on Sunday. I was calmer after the match against Mário, and I won by eight to zero,” he recounts.

Going with the vibe from the title, Bruno has his bags packed for Hawaii. The beast is all in it.

“After this time away, now I want to compete at all the IBJJF competitions. I was invited to do some seminars in Hawaii, so I couldn’t stay out of the Honolulu Open. I’m signed up and everything. I also want to comete at the Miami Open, No-Gi Worlds and whatever else comes up. I’m training well again, doing physical conditioning with Edson Ramalho and I want to make it to the top again. I’ve got my head in the right place and I’m going to make things really hard for people!” he says in closing.

The National Cup came to a close this Sunday at Magno high school in São Paulo. The event distributed R$ 60,000 among the winners of the various divisions. The biggest standout of the competition was Rodolfo Vieira, winner of the men’s absolute belt.

In the other divisions, Bruno Frazatto (Atos) did well to win the featherweight division, leaving in his wake Mario Reis and Leon Amancio (Check Mat), in the decider. Fighting at light featherweight, instead of his usual roosterweight division, Bruno Malfacine carries on in his winning ways. He defeated Samir Chantre (Carlson Gracie) to become champion. Ivaniel Cavalcanti won the roosterweight division.

Cícero Costha took the lightweight prize, while Claudio Calasans conquered yet another gold medal for Atos, at middleweight. The medium heavyweight division was won by Sérgio Moraes (Alliance); Alexandre de Souza (Gracie Floripa) won at heavyweight; Denis Gomes won at super heavyweight; and Luiz Big Mac took top spot on the winners’ stand in the ultraheavyweight division.

The big standout of the women’s division was Gabrielle Garcia (Alliance). The 2010 world champion at weight and open weight won the two divisions again. Michelle Tavares, winner of her weight group and the lightweight absolute, came up spades, too, having beaten Michelle Nicolini for the absolute belt and submitted two opponents at weight.
