Em 2012, o irlandês de língua afiada ainda era um desconhecido iniciante, e resolveu testar seu jogo de solo num torneio da IBJJF, no primeiro Europeu Sem Kimono em Londres.

No torneio, Conor colidiu logo com um membro da família Gracie, o jovem Kywan Gracie Behring, na categoria médio faixa-roxa. Kywan, que acabou o torneio com o bronze, foi melhor que o astro irlandês naquele dia, e venceu graças a uma raspagem. Confira e aprenda com ambos!

A MMA beast and touted as the next big star in the UFC, the featherweight Conor McGregor, 26, begins to savor the taste of fame and victories. All with just four fights and four wins in Dana White’s organization.

In 2012, the sharp tongue Irish was still an unknown newcomer, and decided to test his ground game in an IBJJF No-Gi tournament, the European in London.

In the tournament, Conor crashed shortly with a member of the Gracie family, the young Kywan Gracie Behring, in the purple belt medium category. Kywan, who finished the competition with the bronze, was better than the Irish star that day, and won thanks to a sweep. Check it out and learn from both!
