Eles já se enfrentaram no Europeu de Jiu-Jitsu, em 2008, na final do peso pesadíssimo da faixa-marrom, em Portugal. A vitória foi de Karol Bedorf.

Agora, Rogent Lloret quer dar o troco – só que numa batalha de MMA, no evento polonês KSW 15, neste sábado, 19 de março, em Varsóvia.

A torcida certamente estará com o local Bedorf (6v, 1d), conhecido pelos fãs mais atentos do ADCC. Mas ele não terá vida fácil. Campeão de MMA, Lloret (9v, 2d, 1e), espanhol de Barcelona, também é bom de chão: no Europeu 2009, foi ele o vencedor na faixa-marrom pesadíssimo.

Trata-se de uma luta de dois faixas-pretas da arte suave com mais cem quilos para cada lado. No entanto, nem é o combate principal do evento, como você confere abaixo. O valor da luta para ambos, porém, é inestimável: ambos têm o sonho de chegar ao topo, leia-se, parar no UFC.

They faced each other once before, in the ultraheavyweight brown belt division of the 2008 European Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship. Karol Bedorf took it that time.

Now, Rogent Lloret wants revenge – but in a bout of MMA, at Polish event KSW 15, this Saturday, March 19 in Warsaw.

The crowd will surely be on the side of Bedorf (6w, 1l), who is known to more attentive ADCC fans. But he won’t have it easy. MMA champion Lloret (9w, 2l, 1d), a Spaniard from Barcelona, is also good on the ground: at the 2009 European Open he won the brown belt ultraheavyweight division.

It will be a bout of fisticuffs between two gentle art black belts with over 200 pounds on either side. And it’s not even the evening’s main event, as you can see below. The value of the fight to each of them, though, is priceless: both dream of making it to the top, ie. make it to the UFC.

A number of the top Polish fighters are confirmed. KSW15 will feature top European middleweight Mamed Khalidov, two-time KSW tournament winner Jan Blachowicz, and KSW middleweight champion Krzysztof Kulak against yet-to-be-announced opponents. Maciej Gorski will battle Finnish standout Niko Puhakka in the KSW 14 lightweight tourney final. The event will also mark the return of Polish MMA veteran Lukasz Jurkowski, who last fought in Poland over a year ago at KSW 11.
