Having suffered a detached retina, UFC fighter Alan Belcher was obliged to momentarily withdraw from competition. The fighter underwent surgery to correct the injury, however, he will have to wait some time yet before he will be released to fight.

Before that, when he was preparing to face Demian Maia, Belcher was in Rio de Janeiro training at Gracie Ilha academy, where he worked on his Jiu-Jitsu with Daniel Moraes and company (in video below). The session didn’t escape the lens of our collaborator Diego Marcello.

Rio de Janeiro is a popular destination for a number of fighters, who do a sort of techniques exchange. Recently, Strikeforce fighter Jason Miller was also in the city (see here), as well the young talent from Urijah Faber’s team Alpha Male, who train at Xgym and Gracie Ilha, not to mention former UFC fighter Justin Bucholz and JT, an All-American wrestler.

Com um descolamento de retina, o faixa-preta de Jiu-Jitsu Alan Belcher foi obrigado a se afastar, momentaneamente, do octagon do UFC. O lutador já fez a cirurgia para sanar a lesão, no entanto, deve esperar mais tempo até ser liberado para lutar novamente.

Antes disso, quando e preparava para enfrentar Demian Maia, Belcher esteve no Rio de Janeiro, na Gracie Ilha, onde aperfeiçoou o Jiu-Jitsu com Daniel Moraes e companhia (confira os treinos no vídeo abaixo). O treino não escapou das lentes do nosso colaborador Diego Marcello.

O Rio de Janeiro vem sendo um lugar procurado por muitos lutadores, que aproveitam para fazer uma espécie de intercâmbio de técnicas. Recentemente, também estiveram por aqui o lutador do Strikeforce Jason Miller (reveja clicando aqui) e os novos talentos da equipe de Urijah Faber (Alpha Male), que treinaram na Xgym e Gracie Ilha, feras como Justin Buchholz, que tem passagem pelo UFC, e JT , All American de wrestling.
