Brazil’s Bruno Capelosa (Gracie Fusion/Veras Tk) and Argentina’s Emiliano Sordy were face to face this Friday at the weigh-ins for Jungle Fight 35, in São Paulo, Brazil.

“On Saturday they’ll show you why they are considered the future of MMA,” said Wallid Ismail, the president of the Jungle Fight promotion.

The next time Capelosa meets up with Sordy will be in the cage at Pacaembu gymnasium. The Brazil-Argentina showdown will kick of the Jungle Fight 35 mini light heavyweight GP.

Two GP fights will be held this installment, with the winners going through to the title fight in January.

O brasileiro Bruno Capelosa (Gracie Fusion/Veras Tk) e o argentino Emiliano Sordy ficaram frente a frente na tarde desta sexta-feira durante a pesagem da 35ª edição do Jungle Fight. O encontro aconteceu no centro de convenção do Hotel Ceasar Business, em São Paulo, e reuniu mais de 30 participantes entre atletas, técnicos e organizadores.

“Sábado vocês mostrarão para o país porque são
considerados o futuro do MMA”, disse Wallid Ismail, presidente do Jungle Fight.

A próxima vez que Capelosa se encontrar com Sordy será dentro do octógono, no Ginásio do Pacaembu, na capital paulista. Neste combate entre Brasil e Argentina, o Jungle Fight 35 dá início a um mini GP da categoria até 93kg.

Serão duas lutas válidas pelo GP nesta edição e os vencedores das duas lutas se enfrentarão em janeiro, na disputa pelo cinturão. Os outros dois atletas que se enfrentarão em busca da outra vaga na classificação são.

A rivalidade Brasil vs Argentina vai subir no octógono na 35ª edição do Jungle Fight.  A “Libertadores do MMA”, como gosta Wallid Ismail, terá sua nova edição realizada no dia 17 de dezembro, às 20h, no ginásio do Pacaembu. Numa das atrações principais, Bruno Capelosa encara o argentino Emiliano Sordy.

Além disso, o JF 35 vai dar início a um mini-GP na categoria até 93kg. Serão duas lutas válidas pelo GP nesta edição, e os vencedores das duas lutas se enfrentam em janeiro na disputa pelo cinturão.

Segundo Wallid Ismail, presidente do Jungle Fight, esta edição vai manter o nível dos eventos. “Além de manter o alto nível das lutas, o JF 35 terá a novidade do mini-GP, que promete dar o que falar por ser uma categoria muito disputada. Não tenho dúvida de que será mais um evento de muita qualidade’’.

Sobre o futuro do esporte no Brasil, Wallid se mantém bastante otimista. ‘’Recentemente o MMA demonstrou sua força no país, conseguindo ultrapassar o futebol em audiência momentaneamente. Continuo convicto que o MMA um dia será o principal esporte do Brasil’’.

A pesagem dos lutadores será no dia 16, sexta-feira, no Hotel Ceasar Business, às 16h. Os ingressos para a competição serão distribuídos gratuitamente na semana do evento em locais ainda não definidos.

The rivalry between South American neighboring nations Brazil and Argentina will play out in the cage at the 35th installment of the Jungle Fight promotion. “MMA’s liberators,” as Wallid Ismail likes calling them, will see another chapter this December 17 at 8 pm at the Pacaembu gymnasium in São Paulo. In one of the main events, Bruno Capelosa takes on Argentina’s Emeliano Sordy.

What’s more, JF 35 will feature an under-93 kg mini-GP. This next show there will be two GP fights, and the winners will go through to fight for the GP belt in January.

According to Jungle Fight president Wallid Ismail, this installment will keep up the standard set by previous events. “Besides the high level of the fights, JF 35 will feature the mini-GP, which is sure to produce a lot of conversation material because it’s a talent heavy division. There isn’t a doubt in my mind that it will be a high quality event.”

On the sport’s future in Brazil, Wallid is an optimist. “MMA has been showing its might in the country lately, managing to surpass even soccer in the ratings for a few moments. I’m still convinced MMA will one day be Brazil’s biggest sport.”
