Depois do sucesso, em 2010, o Houston International Open vem com tudo para a sua segunda edição, nos dias 12 e 13 de fevereiro, na University of St. Thomas. As inscrições, que vão até o dia 2 de fevereiro, seguem com desconto até o próximo dia 15 (saiba mais clicando aqui).

O grande nome na primeira edição foi Bruno Bastos, campeão no peso e no absoluto. No entanto, também brilharam no evento feras como Jonatas Novaes “Tagarela”, William Cooper, Gustavo Pires e Tony Tipton, entre tantos outros.

Following the success of 2010, the Houston International Open is all set to go for its second installment, on February 12 and 13 at St. Thomas University. Sign-ups go till February 2 and remain at a discount until the coming 15th (find out more clicking here).

The big name from the maiden event was Bruno Bastos, who won his weight group and the absolute. There were others who also put on shows at the event, however, like Jonatas “Tagarela”, William Cooper, Gustavo Pires, and Tony Tipton, among others.

The year 2011 will be loaded with challenges and IBJJF “Open” tournaments, which gained momentum in 2010 and will now come in with more installments in the new year.

The first of them is the Houston International Open, which is already open for sign-ups and a reduced rate until January 15. The final deadline to register is February 2. The event will take place February 12 and 13 at the University of Saint Thomas in Houston, Texas.

The big name at the 2010 event was Bruno Bastos, who won the ultraheavyweight and absolute divisions, overcoming the likes of Stephen Hall (Alliance) and Ben Baster (Lovatos).
