With a quick submission over Guido Caneti at this Saturday’s Bitetti Combat 8 event in São Paulo, Cristiano Marcello now takes off for Jordan, where he will fight at Desert Fighting Championship on the 8th.

For his last fight, at Bitetti Combat, the black belt was expecting to have a rematch with Aleandro “Mandarina” Solano. After agreeing to the bout, though, the Costa Rican fighter ended up pulling out.

“The guy is a wimp chicken who doesn’t follow through with his commitments. He said he’d come, so he should have been here. Or he should have said he didn’t want to first,” he spat.

Com a rápida finalização contra Guido Caneti no Bitetti Combat 8, neste sábado, Cristiano Marcello parte ainda com mais gás para o Desert Fighting Championship, que acontece no próximo dia 8, na Jordânia.

No BC, o faixa-preta teria a aguardada revanche contra Alejandro “Mndarina” Solano.; No entanto, depois de confirmar a participação no desafio, o lutador da Costa Rica acabou desistindo:

“O cara é galo frouxo e não assumiu o compromisso. Se falou, tinha que ter vindo. Falasse que não queria antes”, dispara.

It’s an honor to fight in Brazil, where it all started. Paulão is a great fighter, a strong opponent, bu of course, I’m here to win. I know he has good Jiu-Jitsu, but I train grappling too and it’s nothing new to me, it’s quite normal,” warns the fighter accompanied by ADCC champion Kikuta Sanae and Thiago Jambo’s opponent, Eiji Ishikaua.

Cristiano Marcello showed up lean and made weight, Glover Teixeira had a staredown with Daniel Tabera, one of Europe’s highest ranking fighters, and the U.S.A.’s Jordan Smith showed he’s in great shape to face Mario Soldado. But things became tense between Jorge Macaco student Flavio Álvaro and Viscardi Andrade, a Ryan Gracie student.

“I’ll give my life in this fight,” said Flavio Álvaro afterwards.

Adversário de Paulo Filho, Yuki Sasaki não teme o brasileiro. Experiente, o lutador espera estragar a festa dos torcedores locais.

“É uma honra lutar aqui no Brasil, onde tudo isso começou. O Paulão é um grande lutador, um adversário forte, mas, lógico, estou aqui para ganhar. Sei que o Jiu-Jitsu dele é forte, mas também treino chão e isso para mim não é novidade, é algo normal”, avisa, acompanhado do campeão do ADCC Kikuta Sanae e do lutador que enfrenta Thiago Jambo Eiji Ishikaua.

Cristiano Marcello chegou sequinho para bater o peso, Glover Teixeira fez pose com Daniel Tabera, um dos mais bem rankiados da Europa e a pedreira americana Jordam Smith mostrou que está em forma para enfrentar Mario Soldado. Mas o clima ficou tenso entre Flavio Álvaro, que era aluno de Jorge Macaco, e Viscardi Andrade, da Ryan Gracie.

“Vou dar a vida nessa luta”, disse depois Flavio Álvaro.

Programado para o dia 4 de dezembro, no Parque São Jorge, em São Paulo, o Bitetti Combat 8 “100 anos do Corinthians” divulga o card completo de mais essa edição. O evento comandado por Amaury Bitetti e Fernando Chakur, mais uma vez, coloca alguns dos melhores lutadores Brasileiros contra atletas estrangeiros.

Como já fora anunciado, Paulo Filho e Thiago Jambo enfrentam, respectivamente, os experientes japoneses Yuki Sassaki e Eiji Ishikaua.

Numa série de oito vitórias antes do gongo final, Glover Teixeira vai ter pela frente o holandês Hans Stringer (17v-4d-1e), que conta com oito finalizações no cartel. Já a dupla da CM System Cristiano Marcello e Mario Soldado tem pela frente Guido Caneti e Jordan Smith.

O oponente de Soldado é uma pedreira com vitórias sobre feras como Gustavo Ximu. O americano Jordan Smith tem no cartel 14 vitórias, um empate e apenas uma derrota. Cristiano não enfrenta mais Alejandro Mandarina, já que o costarriquenho deve combater no evento americano Bellator. Guido Caneti é da Argentina.

Fechando as lutas internacionais, Marcelo Nigue promete representar bem a cidade de Santos contra o argentino Luciano Izzy, também faixa-preta de Jiu-Jitsu.

Mas a emoção não para por aí. O torcedor do Corinthians Flavio Álvaro encara o faixa-preta da Ryan Gracie Viscardi Andrade. Eduardo Santos, aluno de Jorge Macaco, enfrenta a fera da BTT Toninho Fúria. Por fim, os paulistas Mateus Serafian e Thomas Saldiva fazem um combate caseiro.

Set for December 4, at São Jorge Parque in São Paulo, Bitetti Combat 8 “100 years of the Corinthians” card is now complete. The Amaury Bitteti- and Fernando CHakur-promoted event once again will pit some of Brazil’s best fighters against foreigners.

As previously announced, Paulo Filho and Thiago Jambo will face off against seasoned Japanese fighters Yuki Sassaki and Eiji Ishikaua, respectively.

With eight first-round wins in a row on his current record, Glover Teixeira will have to face off with Holland’s Hans Stringer (17w-4l-1d), who has eight finishes on his record. Now the duo from CM System Critiano Marcello and Mario Soldado will be facing Guido Caneti and Jordan Smith.

Soldado’s opponent is a stalwart fighter with wins over the likes of Gustavo Ximu. The USA’s Jordan Smith holds a record of 14 wins, one draw, and just one loss. Cristiano will no longer be facing Alejandro Mandarina, as the Costa Rican is set to appear at the U.S. Bellator promotion. Guido Caneti is from Argentina.

Rounding out the international matchups, Marcelo Nigue promises to represent well his hometown of Santos in facing Argentine Luciano Izzy, another Jiu-Jitsu black belt.

But the excitement doesn’t end there. Corinthians fan Flavio Álvaro faces Ryan Gracie black belt Viscardi Andrade. Eduardo Santos, a Jorge Macaco student, will face BTT beast Toninho Fúria. Last but not least, São Paulo natives Mateus Serafian and Thomas Saldiva will square off in an all-local bout.
