Jiu-Jitsu tournament for a good cause

The Jiu-Jitsu community will once again gather arround black belt professor Ricardo Guimarães.

The leader of Gracie Temecula and Temecula South is batling a stomach cancer.

On January 21st, a fundraiser for Ricardo and his family will happen during the Operation Grapple No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu tournament, in Murrieta, Califórnia.

The event will have a double elimination system, so a minimum of two fights is guaranteed for each athlete.

GMA member school Gracie Temecula South will host a very special seminar nex January 14th.

Black belts Regis Lebre and João “Johnny” Faria will be teaching a one of a kind class.

All the proceeds will go to GMA member black belt Ricardo Guimarães and his family.

Ricardo is going through medical treatment for a stomach cancer diagnosed recently.

The cost of the seminar is $50.00, but participants are encouraged to contribute with more if they can.

The class is open to students of all schools.

GMA member school Gracie Temecula South will be the stage for the 1st North American Gracie Humaita Annual, this Saturday, November 12th.

The event will gather schools under the umbrella of Gracie humaita all over the USA, Canada and Mexico.

It will feature a Jiu-Jitsu tournament for all belts and self-defense techniques competition.

The class at Gracie Temecula South was a success, with over 100 participants.

Guimarães talks about the event: “Among the 100, we had the illustrious presence of Royler Gracie, Xande Ribeiro, Leticia Ribeiro, Kid Peligro, Regis Lebre, Eduardo Rocha, Fabrício Morango, Johnny Faria, Tinguinha, among others.”
