GMA member Alexandre Machado is launching a series of  BJJ videos on Youtube.

He calls it the “You-series” and he created it to promote the book “BJJ 4All”, he will be releasing in 2011.

Until the launch of the book, each month will have the release of a BJJ video.

As a kick off, Machado released this video of his work with one of Europe’s higher qualified law enforcement groups.

Alex has been working with the troop for five years now and tells us that all the self defense of the troop is based on BJJ.

GB Lisboa comemora

A Gracie Barra Lisboa conseguiu um resultado histórico e se sagrou desta vez campeã ibérica de Jiu-Jitsu 2010. O time venceu um campeonato disputadíssimo que contou com equipes de Portugal e Espanha. 

Os treinos continuam fortes. O objetivo é montar uma equipa que, em um ou dois anos, permita a Gracie Barra Lisboa suba ao pódio no Europeu no resultado por equipes. 

Dedicamos a vitória ao escritor português que faleceu recentemente José Saramago, prêmio Nobel da literatura e uma inspiração para todos os portugueses e povos lusófonos”, comenta o professor Alex Machado.

The pupils of black belt Zaid Mirza conquered nine medals on the mats, breaking the record of Middle East countries in the tournament.

“We took a big team this year and we were able to achieve amazing results.  We finished our preparation in lisbon’s Gracie Barra with instructor Kiko da Silva wich was great for the team.  Gave them a gerat deal of confidence.” says a proud Mirza.
