Após um bem-sucedido teste na Jiu-Jitsu Expo, no último dia 12, quando venceu a estrela do Strikeforce Alexis Davis, Kyra Gracie vai em busca de mais uma medalha de ouro no Mundial de Jiu-Jitsu, na categoria peso-pena.

Kyra, 26 anos, repetiu a dose que deu certo antes do ADCC 2011, e visitou o camp da Atos com o primo Ronis Gracie, e treinou com André e Angélica Galvão, os manos Mendes, Mike Fowler e companhia. Segundo testemunhas, já aprendeu algumas acrobacias para mesclar com seu Jiu-Jitsu mais voltado para o clássico.

“Os treinos têm sido ótimos, e vou de peso-pena, mesma categoria que lutei ano passado”, disse ela ao GRACIEMAG.com.

“Os objetivos seguem os mesmos. Não apenas vencer, mas inspirar mais meninas a praticarem Jiu-Jitsu. Depois do campeonato, a agenda segue cheia. Logo depois do Mundial tenho um seminário só para mulheres em San Francisco. Na semana seguinte,  no Brasil, o seminário é em Três Rios, e do dia 21 até 27 de junho tem meu camp no Rio de Janeiro”, lista a fera.

“Em julho e agosto, há uma temporada de seminários na Europa. Setembro tenho seminários na Austrália e Nova Zelândia, e no final do mês o grande destaque é a Gracie Adventure em Cancun. Correria!”, conclui.

Em Cancun, recanto paradisíaco do México, Kyra embarca com seis primos e tios para uma experiência e tanto para os fãs e praticantes de Jiu-Jitsu. Riding the wake of her successful test at the Jiu-Jitsu Expo last 12th, when she overcame Strikeforce star Alexis Davis, Kyra Gracie is now striking out for yet another gold medal at the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship, where she’ll be competing as a featherweight.

Kyra, 26, had a repeat dose of the winning medicine she took in the lead-up to the 2011 ADCC, visiting the Atos camp with her cousin Ronis Gracie and training with André and Angélica Galvão, the Mendes Brothers, Mike Fowler and company. According to witnesses, she’s already learnt some acrobatics to blend with her classic-style Jiu-Jitsu.

“Training has been great. I’m going in as a featherweight, the same division I was in last year,” Kyra told GRACIEMAG.com.

“My objectives remain the same. I don’t just want to win; I want to inspire girls to practice Jiu-Jitsu. After the championship I’ll have a busy agenda. Right after the Worlds I have a all-ladies seminar in San Francisco.

The week after that, in Brazil, I’ll do a seminar in Três Rios, and from the 21st to the 27th of June there’s my camp in Rio de Janeiro,” the ace said in laying out her busy schedule.

“In July and August I’ll do a string of seminars in Europe. In September I have seminars in Australia and New Zealand, and at the end of the month comes the big highlight: the Gracie Adventure in Cancun. I’ll be busy!” she said in closing.

In Cancun, a paradisiacal enclave in Mexico, Kyra will set off with her cousins and uncles to hold what will be quite an experience for Jiu-Jitsu fans and practitioners. There, you’ll be able to spend seven days shuffling between beach time and training with her, Renzo, Rilion, Roger, Rolles, Igor and Gregor Gracie, in the second chapter of a camp they started holding last year in Costa Rica (refresh your memory of what went on there in the following video).
