GMA member Amal Easton is celebrating another birthday this Wednesday.

Amal is a Renzo Gracie black belt, in fact the seventh person to ever receive the black belt from Renzo.

Based in Colorado, Amal has two successful academies in Denver and Boulder.

His team is already spreading across the USA.

Black belts Finnie McMahon, in Fort Collins, Colorado, and George Andersch, in Fargo, North Dakota, are two of Easton’s former students that opened academies of their own.

Recently, Amal went to Brazil as one of Brendan Schaub’s coaches for UFC Rio.

Happy birthday, Amal!

This year’s edition was the 15th edition of the event.

Our GMA member school Fargo BJJ was there to represent Jiu-Jitsu and had a great showing.

George and Sarah Andersch’s team dominated the team’s competition with 48pts, 20 more than the runner up.

Amal Easton, leader of Easton BJJ, graduated to the black belt the wife of George Andersch, Sarah.

George and Sarah Andersch are the leaders of Fargo BJJ, in North Dakota.

Sarah is Easton’s third female black belt.

The Renzo Gracie black belt gave us a heads up about a peculiar fact: “With Sarah, I have now graduated three couples to the black belt degree. Amanda Buckner & Jay Jack and Tessa & Finnie McMahon complete the list.”

Easton ties Andersh's new belt

Our GMA member Amal Easton, leader of Easton BJJ, in Colorado, travelled to Fargo, North Dakota, this week.

He taught a seminar at Fargo BJJ, the academy of also GMA member George Andersch.

Until yesterday, Andersch was a brown belt.

But at the end of the seminar, the new belt came from the hands of Easton.

Congratulations to George for this awesome achievement.
