Depois de atiçar bastante seu oponente, o americano Jeremie Holloway, Page viu o adversário tentar encurtar e cinturar. O longilíneo atleta usou o impulso do adversário para arremessa-lo ao solo, e concluir no ground and pound. Jeremie tentou atacar no pé, mas Page foi mais rápido e apertou uma chave estranha no pé, que liquidou a fatura.

O segundo e último dia do Brasileiro Regional do ADCC, realizado em Manaus, no último domingo, deu a vez para os atletas de nível profissional, e as batalhas nos quatro tatames do evento empolgaram a galera que não se acanhou com a forte chuva e compareceu no ginásio Isaac Benzecry.

No absoluto, uma figura conhecida do Jiu-Jitsu mundial foi destaque. Carlos Holanda “Esquisito”, atleta da Checkmat bicampeão Pan Americano e campeão Europeu, chegou para realizar quatro lutas no peso aberto e venceu todas nos pontos, inclusive na final contra Abel Junior, para morder o ouro.

Na categoria até 77kg, Tasso Oliveira, da Clube Pina, realizou cinco duras lutas em sua divisão para se sagrar campeão. Ele, que é tenente da polícia militar do Amazonas, fez questão de vestir o colete da corporação para receber a medalha do ADCC e posar para fotos.

Destaque também para o eletrizante duelo entre Francinaldo “Neguinho” Magalhães e Guilherme Carvalho, na final até 66kg. Com as torcidas incentivando muito, Neguinho usou sua explosão e giro para superar Guilherme nos pontos, ignorando uma lesão na costela que vinha lhe incomodando durante todo o evento.

Rodrigo Minotauro and Amaury Bitetti black belt Keiser Girao, the teacher at Team Minotauro Dallas, put together BJJ World Champions along with judo black belt Marcelo Dantas. The aim is to get as many gentle art representatives to attend seminars and classes throughout the state of Texas as possible.

For the inauguration of the project the guest was Braulio Estima. On returning from the Jiu-Jitsu Pan, Keiser was impressed by the technique demonstrated by Carlos “Esquisito” Vieira, who won the black belt light featherweight division and had great performance in the absolute, where he eliminated beasts like Bill Cooper and lost a tough match to super heavyweight Bruno Bastos. Esquisito’s seminar will take place this Saturday, May 29.

“He’s the man,” Keiser told GRACIEMAG.com. “He is the embodiment of the Jiu-Jitsu spirit; the weaker who faces the stronger on a level playing field, proving how it is the most effective martial art in the world. His guard is impressive,” he adds.

Esquisito’s seminar is to be held at the academy of Guy Mezger, a good place to train MMA in Dallas. Also on the agenda are seminars with two-time absolute world champion Amaury Bitetti, Lucas Leite, Rodrigo Minotauro, Rogério Minotouro and Alan Goes.
