Both of them contributed to the new levels of popularity MMA is enjoying in Brazil right now, through the entire process leading up to their February fight at UFC 126. Now, the stars and declared rivals, feature together in another promotion.

The UFC is heading back to Brazil, and Budweiser beer, besides sponsoring the event, inked a deal with Anderson Silva, a fighter undefeated in the UFC. Silva will take part in a reality show covering his preparations in the 12 days leading up to the Ultimate Fighting Championship event.

Titled Budweiser Champion Experience, the reality show will be broadcast exclusively on Facebook and will feature a contest to win tickets to UFC Rio and weigh-ins. On Budweiser’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/BudweiserBrasil, fans will be able to watch videos of the fighter’s preparations, find out curious items of interest, and see never-before-seen scenes first hand.

To participate, users should post messages of support for the athlete. The two best phrases posted during the period, one from Facebook and the other from Twitter #vaianderson, will win a pair of front-row VIP-seating tickets to the event and access to Bud Lounge, a lounge at the UFC exclusively for Budweiser’s guests. Now the best phrase posted each day will enter the running for premier seating at weigh-ins and a chance to take pictures with “The Spider”.

But what does Belfort have to do with all that? Bud will be holding a launch party in Rio on the 23rd, and the “Phenom” will be there for a showdown with the fans. According to the invite, there will be an “unprecedented battle.” What could it be they have in mind?

O UFC volta ao Brasil e a cerveja Budweiser, além de patrocinar o evento, estabeleceu uma parceria com Anderson Silva, invicto no UFC. O lutador participa de um reality show que mostra a preparação nos 12 dias que antecedem o Ultimate.

Intitulado de Budweiser Champion Experience, o reality vai ser exibido exclusivamente no Facebook e promete sortear ingressos para o UFC Rio e pesagem. Na página da marca:  www.facebook.com/BudweiserBrasil, os fãs vão poder assistir aos vídeos da preparação do lutador, curiosidades e situações inusitadas em primeira mão.

Para participar, os usuários devem postar frases de apoio ao atleta. As duas melhores frases do período, uma do Facebook e uma do Twitter #vaianderson, vão receber um par de ingressos para Cadeira Vip na primeira fileira do evento e acesso ao Bud Lounge, espaço exclusivo no UFC para convidados da marca. Já a melhor frase de incentivo de cada dia concorre ao Bud Experience no dia da pesagem. O ganhador terá direito a acompanhar a pesagem dos atletas e fotografar ao lado do Aranha.

Mas, o que tem a ver Belfort nesta história? A Bud faz a festa de lançamento, no dia 23, no Rio, e o Fenômeno está escalado para um desafio com os fãs. Segundo o convite, “uma luta inusitada”.  O que vem por aí?!
