Missing from the Jiu-Jitsu scene these days, 2001’s world champion at weight and open weight Fernando Margarida returned to competition, but in surfing.

On December 26 the black belt was invited to participate at Black Belt Surf Challenge 2010 at Prainha, Rio de Janeiro. At the competition, the fighter showed he’s still got it and beat all his opponents.

Margarida’s prior achievements were not forgotten by GRACIEMAG magazine. The fighter was featured in the anthology section of issue 163, which the he himself points out on his official blog, which was just launched.

Afastado das competições e meio sumido do cenário do Jiu-Jitsu, o campão mundial peso e absoluto (2001) Fernando Margarida voltou a competir, só que no surfe.

No dia 26 de dezembro, o faixa-preta foi um dos convidados no Black Belt Surf Challenge 2010, na Prainha, Rio de Janeiro. O lutador participou da competição de remada com kimono.

Os feitos de Margarida não foram esquecidos pela revista GRACIEMAG. Na edição #163, o faixa-preta figura na seção Antologia, o que o próprio destaca em seu blog oficial, que acaba de ser lançado.
