The 7th American Cup will be this weekend, April 5-6 in San Jose, CA. The two-day tournament is held by Claudio Franca and will showcase talent from the young kids to the masters.

The schedule is now available for those who are competing and those who’d like to watch–in person or through the livestream.

Attend the 7th American Cup rules seminar on Apr. 4 with discount for competitors

The tournaments sanctioned by Claudio Franca BJJ are known for the qualified and fair referees who run the matches. Their role is to make sure that rules are enforced and the safety of the competitors is the highest priority. As a competitor, knowing the rules is the best way to prepare for a tournament. As a spectator and coach, the best way to follow the tournaments is to know what is happening on the mats and why.

Attend the official rules seminar for the 7th American Cup on Friday, April 4 led by Professor Alvaro Mansor, fourth degree black belt and the Director of Referees for the IBJJF.

The cost for the general public is $60. Competitors registered for the 7th American Cup will receive a 50% discount on the seminar so it will cost $30.

It will be held at Claudio Franca BJJ: 14442 Union Avenue San Jose, California 95124 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Claudio Franca’s 7th American Cup BJJ tournament is building momentum as the place to be in the Bay Area on April 5-6. The tournament will have divisions for kids, adults and masters with two days of action. A free livestream with commentators will be available online to catch everything that happens over the weekend.

The event takes place in San Jose, CA at Independence High School: 1776 Educational Park Drive San Jose, CA 95133

GMA member Claudio Franca is at it again with the 7th American Cup Tournament scheduled for Saturday, April 5 to Sunday, April 6. This event will be held in San Jose at Independence High School: 707 North Jackson Avenue San Jose, CA 95133

Last year’s edition brought out top athletes such as Diego Herzog, Yuri Simoes, Osvaldo Queixinho, Eliot Kelly, Nathan Mendelsohn and more.

Registration is now open with early registration prices until Monday, March 17.

During the tournament there will be a live broadcast with commentators, matches and interviews.
