The 2013 ADCC Submission Fighting World Championship in Beijing, China is hours away with the athletes in their hotels and ready. Some have continued their training in academies near the venue, some made their final workouts to make the weight and others adjusted to the jet lag.
The weigh-ins were held at 10 a.m. on Friday morning, Oct. 18 in which all athletes were checked in. The rules meeting at 4 p.m. went over the unique ADCC rules and set the schedule.
The first day will start on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Ditan Gymnasium. The heavyweights will start the day with the male +99kg category and moving down into the lighter weights. All athletes will be present at 8 a.m. to be weighed in once again. By 8:30 a.m the matches will begin and go on until each division, male and female, reach the quarterfinal matches. To end the day Braulio Estima and Andre Galvao will have their superfight.
