In the video above, UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva makes a surprise visit to a hospitalized boy in a wheelchair. After walking in, Silva embraces the young boy who succumbs to tears by the sight of his favorite fighter walking in with gifts in hand.

The video was posted by the boy’s physician, Dr. Eduardo Picanço, who said on his YouTube page that Silva is one of his patient’s idols. The doctor set up the meeting to help in the boy’s recovery from Epiphysiolysis, which has put him in the wheelchair for nine months.

He's effin awesome. Not like any other visit I've seen from big-time names. He had so much to say to that young kid. That's what almost brought me tears. Genuine interaction from a humble man that happens to be in the business of azz kickin lol.

Just a brief summary: He tells the little boy to don't cry and give him hug. To try to get well soon and to to believe that he will get better and be able to fight again. Another fighter, Minotauro, has the same problem as the boy and he offered his doctor to also assist this little boy. He also promises him to train with him once he gets better.
