Bart Simpson taps out Nelson in a recent episode on MMA. This month it was Jiu-Jitsu’s turn to be mentioned as a self-defense technique.
In “The Simpsons”, the longest running show on American television, the solution is good old Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
“Crawl atop me and meet your doom,” says a character in the ironic cartoon created by Matt Groening.
A taste for submissions isn’t anything new in the cartoon series.
In an episode paying “tribute” to the UFC, with Chuck Liddell doing a voiceover, housewife Marge Simpson signs up for the event and taps out a brute via flying armbar. Bart himself uses an odd triangle to subdue the bully Nelson in a schoolyard scuffle.
