On his debut at black belt he took on the stalwart Delson “Pé de Chumbo” Heleno in a supermatch in São Paulo. Just that was enough to make the 2003 chapter of Desafio Black Belt de Jiu-Jitsu noteworthy. But the way Jaca sent his opponent soaring through the air secured the event’s place in history.
