On the day of the GRACIEMAG at the Worlds Blog’s relaunch with an exclusive Roger Gracie interview, GRACIEMAG.com broke some more exclusive news on the champion:
Roger is confirmed for the under-99kg division at ADCC 2011.
He recently recuperated from a leg injury and is now training hard to make it to the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship.
The Gracie will be back at the ADCC after a disappointing no-show in the superfight at the 2009 event, where he would have faced off with Robert Drysdale.
He was replaced by Ronaldo Jacaré.
Thus, Roger may also appear in the ADCC absolute contest, which he won in 2005.
Another big name confirmed for the event is Augusto “Tanquinho” Mendes, who’ll compete in the under-77kg division, where three-time winner of the event Marcelo Garcia is also in the fray.
