Thursday yielded the first batch of champions at the 2011 Pan, in Los Angeles, with white and blue belt athletes. And from among the champions arose some competitors worth keeping an eye on.

At featherweight blue belt, Denilson Bischiliari took top spot on the podium. The Atos athlete made’s list of athletes to watch out for this season (see here).

It’s worth pointing out as well, though, the participation of João Miyao (PSLPB Cicero Costha). The light featherweight, besides winning the division, took out much bigger opposition in winning gold in the absolute, as revealed on the IBJJF website.

Among the teams, our GMA BJJ Revolution Team did well to take first at white belt. The team results at blue are still being counted, check here to see all the results.

And tune in to the GRACIEMAG at the Jiu-JItsu Pan Blog for all the latest from the Pan.
