Dynamite!! Overeem gets knockout and Bibiano loses this New Year’s in Japan

This Friday the end-of-the-year installment of Dream, dubbed Dynamite!! 2010, took place at the Saitama Super Arena.

Defending his featherweight belt, black belt Bibiano Fernandes lost a unanimous decision to Hiroyuki Takaya.

In another title fight, for the welterweight belt Marius Zaromskis beat local hero Kazushi Sakurabi via first-round technical knockout. For the interim heavyweight title, Strikeforce champion Alistair Overeem remains rampant, beating former UFC fighter Todd Duffee by knockout after just nineteen seconds of fighting.

The surprise of the night was Shinya Aoki’s loss to Yuishiro Nagashima, a knockout in the second round. Now Gegard Mousasi took a unanimous decision over Kyotaro Fujimoto under K-1 rules. Another big star to lose was Caol Uno, dripping a unanimous decision to Kazuyuki Miyata.
