Current absolute champion of Asia Marcos Souza (Bonsai Team) has good and bad news for Jiu-Jitsu fans.
Starting with the good, Marcos is in São Paulo to practice boxing and No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu to get ready for his MMA debut, a superfight at Deep in Macau against Korea’s Park Jeong Gyo in January 2011.
“The fight is at 77kg (welterweight), I’m on a diet and training a lot at Bonsai headquarters in São Paulo,” he explains.
The bad news is that the black belt went to São Paulo from Japan because his father, Adilson Souza, the master of the team, discovered he has pancreatic cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy. Be strong, Master!
