Royler Gracie spent his vacation in Rio de Janeiro brimming with vitality and good cheer.
The result of the master meeting our Gustavo Aragão’s lens was a story rich in detail, tricks and valuable lessons. “The article is excellent, with technical insight unto itself,” said the black belt from within the GRACIEMAG newsroom, one of the first to read it.
In fact, much of what Royler says (and demonstrates) should be read, re-read and held on to. An example? The passage where he explains his strategy in Jiu-Jitsu, based on getting ahead on the scoreboard and making the other guy muddle through. Getting ahead truly is a great advantage in any competitive sport, but not too many folks realize it. And Royler further teaches a valuable plan B, which almost always got him the win at the Worlds.
Gracie ends his exposition with a series of positions based on the Right and Wrong series, for readers to expand the confines of their Jiu-Jitsu. Don’t miss it, and be sure to leave your comments regarding the issue here on!
Another Right and Wrong dynamo is Marcio Feitosa, who helps to untie the knot that is the purple belt practitioner. The Gracie Barra America professor and other masters and champions teach you everything you need to know halfway through your climb in Jiu-Jitsu technique.

In Face to Face, red belt Francisco Mansur opens his archives to recount valuable (and fun) stories from the days when Jiu-Jitsu was just getting started.
And the two monsters who have set tongues wagging in Jiu-Jitsu figure in the issue: last weekend’s European champion Ricardo “Demente” Abreu explains what brought him to abandon his career as a lawyer to shine in Jiu-Jitsu in his riper years, and Roger Gracie, a submission worthy of any Jiu-Jitsu, almanac in the Anthology section.
Also, evidence fighting has always been society’s backbone, lessons from Vinicius Draculino and Marcelinho Garcia that promise to revolutionize learning via the internet, the ladies who are changing the customs of Abu Dhabi, the formula for producing good teachers in your academy, a new series from Martin Rooney, Gracie Diet and much more!

I Loved this issue, full of great Articles,I particularly loved the Halfway mark article, it’s helped me heaps. I think the Cover was pretty boring though, didn’t represent anything to do with “Setting your Jiu-Jitsu Free”. I think the last issue with Braulio set a new benchmark in Covers that make people want to pick up the Magazine, and this one didn’t do that at all.
