The first luta livre / submission grappling championship of luta livre black belt Junior Barata was held at the Budo Clube Grottes in Geneva, Switzerland, this May 22.
Representatives of luta livre, sambo and Jiu-Jitsu from all around Switzerland, as well as some from France and Germany, participated in the event. There were more than 80 athletes in all, and the show drew a sizeable crowd, too.
The president of Rio de Janeiro’s Luta Livre Submission Federation Daniel D’Dane and king of Pancrase Assuério Silva were present at the event and held a seminar together.

Such was the success of the event that the next stage has already been penned in for October.
