The 1st Arizona Jiu-Jitsu Kids Cup was a huge success in Mesa, Arizona, last April 25th. Our GMA member Gustavo Dantas, head of GD Jiu-Jitsu, was one of the organizers of the event.
It was dedicated to competitors between ages of 4 and 17 yrs old and was a great success with its debut at 163 competitors. For the first time, GD JIU-JITSU Events promoted a food drive for the United Food Bank. This organization provides food to around 800.000 people in need per year. From now on, GD JIU-JITSU Events will be promoting Food Drives for the United Food Bank at every event.
The event brought competitors from Colorado, New Mexico, California, and Arizona. With 26 different schools representing, only 3 would find themselves on top:
The next event will be the Arizona Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu State Championship 2009, which will take place at the Westwood High School in Mesa, on July 11th and 12th. Full info available at azsbjjf.com or gdjiujitsu.com.
