Professor Ted Stickel, GMA member in Anchorage and head coach of GB Alaska, is proud of his students. Last month, they did great in two competitions. First, at the 2008 Pan-American Jiu-Jitsu brown belt Steve Young conquered the gold medal in his division.

Later on, on April 9th, the team also shone at the “Hawaii Vs. Alaska - States Collide” competition. There, Julio Paulino (Middleweight), Brian Ryan (Heavyweight Champ), Jesus Rivera (Gracie Barra Light Heavy weight Champ) won their matches against a team of fighters from Hawaii.
