17.10.2007 Sweep from hook-guardMore than the money reward or future dividends, what Robert Drysdale truly appreciates from his victory in New Jersey is his place in history. “Winning the absolute at the ADCC is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life, it is priceless,” said the Brasa star still celebrating. On the future, Drysdale reveals he has already received proposals to fight MMA, but to prove yet again that he is not your average fellow, he threw in a safety clause: “First I want to finish my college degree in history. I graduate this year. Then I will train a lot. MMA is a different fight, completely different, and I want to be prepared,” plans the laid back black belt, who only gets nervous when you ask him if he is American or Brazilian: “I don’t like these labels. What difference does it make where I was born? I would rather people think of me as just a guy who is addicted to Jiu-Jitsu,” making an ugly face. Laid back at the moment and happy with life, Robert demonstrates this sweep from the hook-guard.
