After holding the World Pro Cup, which put a professional event on the annual Jiu-Jitsu calendar, General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan is preparing another surprise for the fight world: Art of War.
It isn’t the classic book of strategies by General Sun Tzu, but an MMA event of the same name and which will be holding its 12th installment in Beijing, China.
The truth is, Sheikh Mohammed has been sponsoring the event ever since its inception, but has only announced the endeavor recently. Departing from the United Arab Emirates will be a plane with his committee, Carlao Santos and all the region’s Jiu-Jitsu instructors.
Rickson and Renzo Gracie travel as confirmed guests. Royler, Royce and Carlos Jr. were also summoned. And Rolles Gracie, son of the legendary Rolls, will participate in the program, facing off against Russian Baga Agaev.
GRACIEMAG was formally invited by the court of Abu Dhabi, and our editor-in-chief, Luca Atalla, takes off this Tuesday, the 19th, for the city that hosted the last Summer Olympic Games.
