Cro Cop promises UFC return

Fighter challenges internet critics

The rescission between Mirko Cro Cop and the UFC, which could have taken a dramatic direction like the case of Randy Couture, seems to have been carried out in a manner that was appreciated by both parties. The American organization’s idea is to hand Cro Cop over to the Japanese, thus taking advantage of the Croatian’s affinity with the Asian country and hoping he will return to the winning ways of his Pride days, when he was considered one of the best and most dangerous strikers in the world.

This game is common in international soccer, when one team loans a player so that he may shine again and regain confidence. The former policeman’s debut at Dream, the organization for which he will have three fights, will be on March 15 against an adversary still to be defined.

“The last two years I had a sort of mental block. I felt empty before the fights, I was depressive and hated myself. I’m not avoiding the UFC, and I will return at the end of the year,” said Mirko.

“I already mentioned that I will fight the three fights and return to the UFC. And as for the internet warriors, I say they should put on the gloves and get in the ring themselves before insulting the fighters,” Cro Cop added, in an interview with the site javno.com.
