Flavio Cachorrinho and Tarsis Humphreys had their path to the 2007 ADCC under 87kg title interrupted by Demian Maia. The two will now have the chance to face off against their nemesis in the Super Challenge Grappling tournament, set for December 8, in the Paulistano Athletic Club.
Both fighters have been officially confirmed by the organization, which took the chance to announce that the event will be transmitted live across the world over the internet.
“We’re putting together the final details for this broadcast. But our partners have already understood that what happens here in Brazil in December will be the greatest absolute submission grappling event ever. In the coming week we’ll start selling pay-per-view packets,” reveals Paulo Vasconcellos, president of Super Challenge Grappling.
Super Challenge Grappling will bring together fighters from around the world in the greatest absolute submission wrestling ever. On the card names like Demiam Maia, Fabrício Werdum, Robert Drysdale, Jeff Monson, Delson Pe de Chumbo, Rafael Lovato, David Avellan, Xande Ribeiro and Ronaldo Jacare have been confirmed. The grand champion will pocket a prize of US$ 15,000 and receive a katana from the hands of Rickson Gracie, rules coordinator for the event.
