Organization defines bout order
With UFC 92 over, the eyes of the MMA world turn to the other side of the world. Set for this Wednesday, December 31, Dynamite!! is bringing interesting match-ups between well-known figures on the international stage. One of those figures is Brazilian Gesias Cavalcante. With his sights on recovering his place at the top of the lightweight category, in his fight against Norwegian Joachim Hansen, since losing to Shinya Aoki in the Dream GP semifinals, JZ showed himself to be in a good mood at the press conference held today.
“I’m in good shape. I’m always in great shape. I had time to prepare and I’m excited. I love fighting in Japan. The fans are so respectful. I hope to be able to pay back the good energy in the ring,” he said.
The difference in behavior between him and Hansen, current Dream GP champion, was touched on in an informal chat with journalists. “If you’re born a banana, you’ll die a banana. You just become more mature. I think attitude is the difference between me and Joachim. The positive things I do in my life, to become better and better every minute, every day, every fight,” he completed.
The organizers of Dynamite!! released the official card today. The last fight to be confirmed is between Ikushisa Minowa and Dutchman Errol Zimmerman, the athlete to recently eliminate Ewerton Teixeira in the finals of the K-1 World GP. The bout will be under MMA rules.
