Babalu is back. After injuring his knee mid-august and surgery in September, the fighter is training at full speed for his next fight against light heavyweight category champion Bobby Southworth, at Strikeforce, on November 21st.
Babalu and Southworth were originally scheduled to fight at Strikeforce last month, at the Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills, California. But the American suffered an injury and the organizers called up Anthony Ruiz to substitute him. Then it was Babalu’s turn to get injured in training days before the fight with Ruiz. The fight was then scrapped altogether.
Now it seems it will finally happen, Babalu and Southworth are confirmed. Strikeforce on the 21st of November will take place at the HP Pavillion, in San Jose, California. The Brazilian who won his last three battles in a record of 30 wins and seven losses, is considered a living MMA legend by Southworth. Now the American has nine wins and five losses.
