Carrying on with our coverage of the event to take place this Saturday, in the Pedro Jahara gymnasium, in Teresopolis, Rio de Janeiro, we contacted Gilberto Faria, one of the event's organizers and representative of the fightwear brand Koral and Pro Gear store in the United States.
Besides telling us of the preparations underway for the big night that approaches, Gilberto told us first hand about an unprecedented partnership that will split the seas of Brazilian domestic MMA. Working on Fury's image abroad, the businessman had already put together, along with Victor Costa, Koral and Fury president, a partnership with the Japanese event Dream and the news today comes from an unprecedented accord with the website Sherdog.com.
The MMA portal, which is one of the biggest in the business, will broadcast live around the world the competition in two languages, Portuguese and English.
"We are at a wonderful time. We sealed a deal with Dream, which is with the K-1 folks, and we'll do a live broadcast through Sherdog, for free, for the first 20 thousand people. This is also a way of getting to know the size of our event's audience. It will be the first domestic MMA event to be broadcast on Sherdog.com, it will surely be a parting of the seas. This is my job, to launch Fury worldwide and promote this Brazilian event and our fighters, so that they may fulfill their dreams. Those who give they blood to Fury on Saturday will be seen by the whole wide world," said a confident Gilberto.
For those of you in Brazil who want to see a grand-scale show, go up the hills to Teresopolis on Saturday to see 10 bouts with the cream of the Brazilian crop, that is what the promoters of the event guarantee. "We're going off in the production. It will be something never before seen in Brazil. The event will be in the style of Dream," said Gilberto in finishing.
