18.05.2008 Roger gets submission at Sengoku Roger Gracie by Susumu Nagao. |
|
Watch his victory now Roger Gracie didn’t even have to break a sweat the second MMA fight of his career. At the beginning of his combat against Yuki Kondo, this Sunday, in Tokyo, Japan, for Sengoku II, Gracie dominated his adversary and got to a rear-naked choke that granted him the win.
After doing most of his training in the UK, where he teaches, Roger went to New York where he practiced for three weeks with his cousin Renzo, before both went together to Japan on Saturday 10. Renzo even came back to the US during the week for the IFL event but got a plane in the morning after that to arrive in Japan today, a few hours before coaching his cousin for his successful victory.
Roger does not stop though. According to statements he made prior this fight, he will try to defend his absolute World title in Jiu-Jitsu, at the Worlds, on June 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th in Long Beach, California.
In another fight of the evening, Kevin Randleman defeated Japanese Ryo Kawamura by unanimous decision. In the event's headliner, Josh Barnett defeated Jeff Monson by unanimous decision.
