Two of the biggest MMA organizations in the world have been working hard together to dethrone the UFC. The partnership between American EliteXC and Japanese Dream was limited to the exchange of fighters, but at a press conference after Dream 3 in Tokyo, the heads of the two companies announced the brotherhood will be expanding.
Beyond swapping stars, they have plans to put on co-productions of events in places like Korea and England, besides the United States and Japan. This way, names like Kimbo Slice, Jake Shields and Robbie Lawler will be on display in the land of the rising sun, as well as other places around the world. It’s worth noting some EliteXC fighters (Eddie Alvarez, Nick Diaz and Jason Miller) already figure in the Dream GP.
