In the opening bout of the main card of UFC Perth, held this Saturday in Australia, Tyson Pedro faced Saparbek Safarov.
In their light heavyweight fight, Pedro was getting the worst of it on the ground as he fell on all fours and received some hard strikes. But as he got up, Pedro managed to set up the winning trap.
With Safarov pressing him on the fence, grabbing Pedro’s waist with the intent to take him down, Pedro made the kimura grip, and to conclude the move, spun his body, which undid his disadvantage and made him land on top. From there, he just passed his leg over Safarov and improved the lever adjustment to finish.
