The New York International Open, held this May 1st, featured exciting bouts at black belt and the other belts colors.
The main standout of the black belt competition was Jonathan Torres, a representative of Lloyd Irvin, winning the light and absolute divisions. But there were others who shined in the so-called capital of the world: Daniel Beleza, light featherweight champion; Marcelino de Freitas, first-place at featherweight; Rodrigo Teixeira, middleweight gold; Leonardo Ferreira, first at heavyweight; and Bruno Bastos, who took top honors at ultra heavyweight, among others.
Now as far as the team tally goes, Renzo Gracie took top spot, followed by Lloyd Irvin in second, and Lotus Club in third.
