UFC welterweight champion Georges Saint-Pierre went to New York for an important commitment: to grapple with Renzo Gracie.
The training session between the burly duo was caught on film for the documentaries to air in the lead-up to their respective outings in the octagon. Scenes and MMA positions were taped for the preview of UFC 111 on March 27, when GSP meets challenger Dan Hardy, and for UFC 112, in Abu Dhabi, where Renzo faces off against Matt Hughes.
Renzo and St-Pierre did their first round against each other. Later on, St.-Pierre remarked on how impressed he was with the Gracie’s positional adjustment: “Look, I’d heard about Renzo’s guillotine, but I’d never felt it. It’s amazing.”
The second round saw Renzo up against Gunnar Nelson while St.-Pierre took on David Branch. In the third Renzo faced St.-Pierre’s head coach, Firas Zahabi, and GSP went with Gunnar Nelson. Check it out!

I would love to see one of the Gracies do a seminar at the Minnesota Martial Arts Academy, it’ll be great since Royler Gracie stopped by and I missed it.
