Shooto champion to compete wearing gi

World Shooto flyweight champion, topping the world MMA rankings for his weight class, Jussier Formiga is preparing to return to his roots. The Nova União/Kimura fighter will sport his gi and do battle this Wednesday, at the Desafio Black Belt de Jiu-Jitsu tournament, in Fortaleza, Brazil.

The event features several supermatches with some of the main standouts in the Northeastern Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu scene, and will be held at the Paulo Serasate gymnasium, starting at 8pm.
