The Rio BJJ Pro, an event that pays out prize money from blue to black belt, was held last weekend at Tijuca Tennis Club in Rio de Janeiro. On Saturday the absolute contests for the colored belts were held. Sunday saw the black-belts take the stage.

At featherweight, Isaque Paiva (Saikoo) got the gold as he beat Hiago George (Cícero Costha). Middleweight Gabriel Rollo (Checkmat) beat Luan Carvalho (Nova União) for the top spot in his division.

Heavyweight Patrick Gáudio (GFTeam) was victorious over Dimitrius Souza (Alliance), and ultra-heavyweight Victor Honório (GFTeam) bested Gabriel Fedor (Alliance).

In the women’s open, Tayane Porfírio beat Beatriz Mesquita (Gracie Humaitá) at the end.
