Still in doubt as to what to eat before heading to training? GRACIEMAG has three suggestions for high-octane fuel to intelligently fill your tank and get you firing on all cylinders in Jiu-Jitsu, without leaving you feeling bloated or lacking in energy.

1. To drink: açaí mixed with apple juice and sweetened with date syrup.
To eat: sweet potato – bake the potato, then add cream cheese to taste.

2. To drink: papaya juice mixed with coconut water.
To eat: two slices of wholewheat bread with cream cheese.

3. To drink: guava juice, coconut water, and pieces of dates mixed in blender.
To eat: wholewheat pita bread with white cheese.
