Erberth Santos was the big name at Rio Winter International Open 2016. He conquered the double-gold and it stands as one of the best fighters of this season.

“I imposed my game on Saturday, finishing every fight, and at the absolute final, I got one more submission. After my final with (Marcus) Buchecha at the Worlds, I worked a lot the leglocks when the game gets tied together with my coaches in Almeida Jiu-Jitsu, and is working”, told the absolute champion of the Rio Open and number 2 at IBJJF black belt ranking.

The event, who started on Wednesday, July 13th, and finished on Sunday, July 17th, in Tijuca tênis Clube, in Rio de Janeiro, had other big names, like Patrick Gaudio, Isaque Paiva, Carlos Holanda and others. Check below the complete results and check the best photos from the finals.
