Cheering for Chico Garcia

GMA member Rafael Ellwanger, of Gracie Barra Louisiana, sends a very special request about one of his students.

Chico Garcia, a cheer-leading coach at Louisiana State University and Ellwanger’s white belt suffered a serious boat accident recently.

He is hospitalized since with severe spinal injury and could be paralised from the neck down.

His firends have started a campaign to raise money for his medical bills and other costs.

We greatly appreciate every little bit our Jiu Jitsu family can do to help with Chico’s rehab. All he says is he wants to be on the mat training. Jiu Jitsu has changed all of our lives & a major motivation for him is training. Please do not take for granted your time on the mat. When you’re to tired to train, remember Chico would trade almost anything to trade places & roll around right now. May God bless you ALL!
